I just received an item from NSTA’s Linda Froschauer, Editor of Science and Children and Elementary Extravaganza Coordinator. I wanted to share it with you immediately, so that you can start making plans to attend this event in April 2014.

Boston Convention & Exhibition Center
Please join us for the third annual NSTA Elementary Extravaganza! This event brings together several national and international organizations to provide preK-grade six teachers with a variety of teaching strategies and resources. We anticipate over 100 presenters and 1,000 participants for the Boston event.
Participants will engage in hands-on activities; learn about professional development opportunities; preview the CBC/NSTA elementary science trade books; interact with the leaders of NSTA and other national and international organizations; gather information about award and grant programs for elementary teachers; share insights with colleagues; grab a cup of coffee; have a chance to win door prizes, including an iPad!!; and learn of opportunities to become more involved in professional organizations. In essence, they will walk away with a head full of ideas and arms filled with materials. So, encourage your friends and colleagues to attend as well.
Participating organizations include: • The Association of Presidential Awardees in Science Teaching • The Council for Elementary Science International • The NSTA Committee on Preschool-Elementary Science Teaching • Science and Children Authors and Reviewers • The Society of Elementary Presidential Awardees
Sponsored by: The National Science Teachers Association, Delta Education, Educational Innovations, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and Science Companion.
