Dr. Jerry DeMenna, Director, Global Analytical Technology, Troy Corporation will present a lively, informative discussion and demonstration on Atomic Energy. This presentation is suitable for all adults interested in History and who have a little "Science Geek" in them.
Each patron will receive a FREE radioactivity kit to see what is radioactive in their environs. Samples of actual natural Uranium ores will be shown and a Geiger counter will be used to show the types of radiation we are exposed to every day under normal situations. You will be surprised!
Dr. DeMenna, from Cape May, runs an Analytical Testing & Research Lab in the Bronx, NY. He has worked as an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University, a Gourmet Chef in Little Italy in NYC, is an Ecological Scientist for the US Fish & Wildlife nature Center at Two-Mile Beach and enjoys spreading the "good news" of good science to those around him.
