18 May 2022 3:54 PM | NJSTA (Administrator)

The University of Delaware's E3 Program is proud to announce its two week-long professional learning workshops for Summer 2022. Please see the attached flyer as well as the information below.

The E3 professional learning workshops are designed for high school STEM and engineering CTE teachers and are co-led by UD engineering and education faculty. All workshops run from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday, at UD's Newark Campus. Registration costs are $500 per participant, and they include take-away materials and lesson plans.

  • Engineering Thinking (ET): This week-long workshop is centered on engineering estimation, mathematical and conceptual modeling, and systems-level thinking. The course may be of particular interest to Math, Chemistry, Integrated Science, and Environmental Science teachers who are looking to integrate engineering concepts into their courses. Participants will engage in real-world systems-level design challenges in chemical and environmental engineering and modify or create curriculum of their own that aligns to their course learning objectives.

        July 11th - 15th, 2022 | Register Here | Contact: Prof. Haritha Malladi

  • Design of Design (DxD): This week-long workshop focuses on the engineering product design process and may be of particular interest to Physics, Physical Science, and Engineering CTE teachers. Participants gain a working knowledge of the engineering product design process through hands-on projects in an engineering makerspace, and they develop unique engineering design challenges tailored to their own classroom practice.
